Tram is a clean and efficient urban public rail vehicle. The use of satellite navigation devices on trams to provide vehicle location, time, velocity, distance to station and other operating parameters, can significantly improve the operational efficiency and intelligent level of the trams. The satellite navigation application is mainly consists of GNSS receivers, GNSS antennas, data transmission link, power supply system and monitoring software and other components. It can provide vehicles position information with an accuracy up to centimeter level, as well as velocity, time and other parameters. In combination with software end, it carries out arrival time broadcast, collision avoidance and crossing warning, vehicle position monitoring, travelling path records and other functions.
