SOTM is short for “mobile satellite ground station communication system”. Through SOTM system, vehicles, ships, aircrafts and other mobile carriers can track the communication satellite in real time in the process of movement, and transmit voice, data, images and other multimedia information without interruption. It can meet the multimedia communication needs for a variety of military and civilian areas under the emergency communication and mobile condition.SOTM is a good solution to the technical barrier of continuously transmitting voices, data, high-definition motion videos, faxes and other multimedia information in real time through geosynchronous satellites during the movement of various vehicles, ships and other mobile carriers, It is a major breakthrough in the field of communication and is of great demand and rapid development in the satellite communications application field, having broad prospects in military and civilian areas.
“SOTM” is composed of two parts: satellite automatic tracking system and satellite communication system. Satellite automatic tracking system is intended to ensure that the satellite transmit antenna points at the satellite accurately during vehicle movement.
OS3D-FG, BDStar’s MEMS Attitude and Heading Reference System, is mainly used in satellite tracking system, to ensure that the satellite transmit antenna points at the satellite accurately during vehicle movement.It is intended for the following systems:
(1) Servo. It uses the position or velocity loop control mode and uses analog hardware to improve the response speed of the circuit, reducing the dynamic lag error of the servo tracking system.
(2) Carrier measurement. It uses SINS measurement unit to measure the amount of change of the carrier, reflecting on the antenna tracking.
